One of the most gratifying parts of the Visualizing Language: Oaxaca in LA project was the time I spent with K-12 students on my guided tours. Talking about representation and art in public spaces. Gave me life! #ZapotecScholar #IndigenousEpistemologies #OaxacainLA

The Visualizing Language team became good friends. The kind you can hug and call up for a good conversation! The work that we fought for, that became a reality drawn up from our different perspectives brought us together. #ZapotecScholar #OaxacainLA #IndigenousEpistemology

My dedication to the #OaxacainLA project meant that I felt compelled to work all the way through my #Zapotecbaby pregnancy. Had meetings to Tuesday, I went in to give birth that same week on a Thursday. Working mamas would know what this is like. #ZapotecScholar #ZapotecHistory
